Back to School

Year Round School can be great.  This year the summer was so short.  Only 3 weeks for the kiddos.    Kaitlyn will have Mrs. Libbert this year and Brycen has Ms. Handy

Stewart Falls

This week was pretty fun.  On Monday we decided to go on a hike for FHE.   I had heard about Stewart Falls recently and I wanted to see it, so we drove the Alpine loop

to Aspen Grove 

After our picnic, we hiked the 2 mile trail into the falls.  It took longer than I thought it would and since we had a late start and didn't start hiking until 8 pm we were worried we would end up hiking in the dark.

To make it more of a FHE lesson, I asked the kids when we were just about to the falls to turn

around and go back so that we wouldn't be lost in the dark......They said why?  I said "Do you want to go

back or do you want to ENDURE to the end!"  They said we want to make it to the Celestial Kingdom - we've

come this far...so we kept hiking and about 5 minutes later we were at the falls.

     It was cool, but we had to start hiking back quickly and we did hike back in the dark - but that was also kind of cool, we 

were using dad's cell phone flashlight and that was kind of fun    so it turned out to be a good experience

And Tyler had a blister so he hiked all the way back with one shoe off
