Mission Update

Elder Soutas also celebrated his 20th Birthday in Portugal

In his previous area, The missionaries were able to go to the site of the future Portugal Temple.  

Where in the world is George Cook Binder??

I've been searching for this man all over the past......

I've found bits and pieces but I especially wish I could figure out his father's name (Last name most likely Cook)  and his child's mother's name (last name most likely Nelson)

I like searching for clues....but so far nothing has solved the mystery completely

Kaitlyn wanted me to make her a heart shirt

So I got out my Needle Felting supplies

Chris brought me a beautiful chocolate fudge cake!

I was the head room mother for the valentine party so we did the valentine  minute to win it.

Food Bank Service

Our SOJO Youth Council went to help at the Food Bank today.  Since I am an advisor I was able to drive a car full of great kids there!

Lesson learned - the Food Bank needs more peanut butter

God Loves Us

Have you ever noticed how the 10 commandment tablets placed together are shaped kind of like a heart?

I believe God gave us these commandments because He loves us and He knows they will make us happy if we follow them

We had a valentine activity day to talk about the 10 commandments and to make these little heart shaped commandment boxes

Brycen became James Naismith for a day

In Case you don't know who Naismith is, He invented the Game of Basketball and that has sure made all of my boys happy

The kids do such a great job researching their figure, preparing reports, posters and costumes

Our Neighbor Pocahontas is just the cutest

the favorite thing Brycen learned from his research is that Jimmer won the Naismith Award!

Board and Batten Finished

My Dad came and helped me nail up my board and batten.  Then I patched and puttied and I think it turned out great!
