I'm a Grandma

I am a grandma.   I think I need to say it over and over to believe it.   I don't feel like a grandma.

Today my beautiful grand-daughter Ruby Jane Soutas was born.

Alex was induced due to toxemia like I had with Jordan.   So maybe because the birth story was so familiar and then holding a new baby in your arms, she feels just like she is mine.
I hold her and I feel like I could just be holding one of my babies.  So it is true that you love your
grand children as your own, yet you don't have quite the responsibility for them and that makes it
extra fun.

Ruby Jane was 6 lbs 14 oz  and 20 inches long  (same as me)
She was born in Provo at the Utah Valley Regional Med Center.  Alex allowed me and her mom and sister to be in the delivery room with her and Jordan and it was a great experience!
Things did get a little tense at the end because she was not progressing.  I could see the worried exchanges between the Doctor and the nurse and heard the word "NICU".   I immediately sat down and started praying that this baby could come quickly without complications.   My prayer was soon answered and Ruby Jane was born.
The Doctors were a little worried about her lungs and continually checked her breathing since she was 3 weeks early.  Thankfully, she stayed healthy and was able to stay with Mom and Dad.

Light breaks through clouds

I was kneeling, praying and pleading for help for a family member to find peace and joy and even come home with some sunshine in his eyes instead of rain.

The thought was put into my heart,  "Light breaks through clouds!"

Light is the answer.  As a family, we will obtain more Light
