Halloween 2013

Looks like we had a fun Halloween again.  I will let the pictures tell the story

In case you were wondering both Brycen and Ty dressed in the same costumes as last year

Waiting for it to get dark so they can go trick or treat

The candy haul:

Acting silly from my costume box

This story is sooo funny.  Ty Geddes kept changing into a different costume from my costume box and going next door to the Hawkins for another can of soda.  ha ha

Jordan and Chris in the Big Apple

Chris took Jordan to New York City when he was about 14.  It was a whirl wind trip on the red eye and Jordan could hardly remember it.  So when Chris had another opportunity to go to New York he thought he would see if Jordan could miss a few days at BYU since it would be over a weekend.  Of course Jordan jumped it!   The fact that Chris went to New York twice that week is another story :) (he just didn't realize that both trips were being booked for the same week)

So here is a quick look at Jordan's New York State of Mind:

Eagle Project

Tyler decide to do his eagle project for the South Valley Sanctuary.  You can read more about
them here.  It is a shelter for abused women and children who need to quickly leave their homes to get out of a bad relationship.

Ty decided to build some needed shelves and to fill them with supplies by doing a drive.
he also fixed the gate to the children's playground which had been broken for some time.

It took a lot of work and some prodding be we were both so happy when we were finished!
I think my favorite part was seeing Tyler talking to two little spanish speaking boys at the shelter
and realizing that he was going to help kids like them.

Grandpa Allen was an awesome mentor.  He taught him how to build the shelves.  We
couldn't have done it without him!
All of the donations he gathered:

The shelves were in use when we went back to fix the gate

The children will be safe now:

Thanks to our wonderful neighborhood for all of the donations!

He did all of this during a very stressful time in his life and We both deserve that Eagle!
