Baptismo

Ben had his first baptisms.

So this week was really good. Yesterday I had my first bapisms! I bapized a girl named Raquel, and a guy named César. Raquel is about 13 and really cool. I really liked teaching her, and she thought i was cool because I am american haha. She lives with her mom Rute, who would have been baptized too, but she has to get married first. Her husband/boyfriend lives in Cabo Verde right now. César is about 17, and is pretty cool.  I didn't teach him much, but still got to baptize him. The water was pretty low, so it was hard to baptize him. The first time is leg came up, so we said we needed to do it again. Then he decided to do it himself haha. He plugged his nose and tried to dive into the water, but I grabbed him and then baptized him again. I also baptized another guy that the sister missionaries taught. It was hard to memorize everybody's name and the prayer haha. Everybody here has 4 or 5 names. Also for next week we have a couple more baptisms marked, Antonio and Betuchal. So pray that the will be baptized this week.

So other than that I like it here in Odivelas. There are a lot of elects here, because the temple will be here so that is cool. I like all my companions too. Elder West and I just make fun of each other all the time. He kind of reminds me of a British version of Brett. We just makes jokes all the time and stuff. Also right now Elder Palmer is staying with us. He is waiting for his companioin to show up. Last week Elder Rowley was with us doing the same thing. It's pretty crazy how good of a teacher Elder Cá is. I'm sure I'll learn a lot over the next 4 weeks. The only problem with living with the Aps is that they kind of act like the get special priveledges. Not really Elder Cá though, but he is influenced by Elder Carvalho. We usually don´t get home on time, and they don´t usually wake up either. Plus I companionship study doesn't really happen, and I don't get to language study either. Other than that though is really good. Yesterday we made of video of us dancing and lipsyncing to the EFY medoly haha. It was really funny.

Yesterday in church there were 159 people, which is just a crazy amount, especially compared to Figueira. It's really cool though, and there are some really good people here.
